Life!

God wants to have a relationship with us. However, we have rebelled against Him and have cut off that relationship.

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

Most of us know this and try to do things to return to God, but it does not work.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

The sins we have committed must be punished and that punishment is death.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

But God did for us what we could not do for ourselves, and that is build a bridge back to Himself.

For God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

He did that by paying our penalty of death when He died on the cross. Not only do we have to believe this, we must respond to what He has done for us.

Yet to all received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12)

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (Romans 10:9,10)

Open your heart and invite Him in, saying something like....

"Dear Lord, thank you for your word and for sending your Son, Jesus, to die for my sins and for raising Him, just as I will be raised. Jesus, you are Lord. I invite you into my heart. I ask you to forgive my sins. I want you to be Lord of my life and to make me the person you would have me be. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus name. Amen."
